Dominic Rhodes-RB- Colts Mar. 3 - 9:31 am et

Free agent Dominic Rhodes will take a physical with the Giants on Friday.
Rhodes' plane was briefly delayed by weather but he touched down in New York last night. The Giants are set to make a big push to sign him.

Tatum Bell-RB- Lions Mar. 4 - 9:25 pm et

The Giants reportedly haven't talked much about trading for Tatum Bell.

Detroit is oddly shopping Bell after acquiring him last week. New York won't give up a first day pick for Bell, so it doesn't make sense from either side.

Tatum Bell-RB- Lions Mar. 8 - 8:24 pm et

The believed asking price for Tatum Bell is a second-round pick.

Giants general manager Jerry Reese wouldn't give up a third-rounder for Willis McGahee, so it currently appears as though Bell has little chance of landing in New York. The Lions will certainly have to lower their asking price if they hope to get something accomplished with Tatum Bell.

Cato June-LB- Colts Mar. 10 - 1:22 am et

The Giants are reportedly expected to meet with free agent linebacker Cato June at some point this upcoming week.

June has had little interest on the free agent market. He was a Pro Bowler in 2005 but is undersized and can only play one position. The visit with New York would be his first this offseason.

Kevin Curtis-WR- Rams Mar. 10 - 1:42 am et

In addition to the Giants, Eagles, and Vikings, the Bills, Packers, and Titans have reportedly expressed interest in free agent Kevin Curtis.

Buffalo is weak opposite Lee Evans, but may have limited spending power after inking Derrick Dockery and Langston Walker to monster deals. The Titans have money to make a serious run at the speedster.

Sinorice Moss-WR- Giants Mar. 10 - 9:15 am et

Sinorice Moss is expected to take over the third-receiver role this season.

A groin injury suffered early in training camp limited Moss' development in his first season but the Giants will look to make good on their second-round investment from a year ago. Amani Toomer is expected to start.

Brandon Jacobs-RB- Giants Mar. 10 - 11:01 am et

Despite the acquisition of Reuben Droughns, the Giants plan for Brandon Jacobs to be their featured back in 2007.

General manager Jerry Reese had been looking for someone to carry the ball roughly ten times-per-game, and that's the role Droughns is expected to fill. A third-down type scatback could still be drafted in April.

Former Michigan State receiver Charles Rogers, who was the second overall pick by the Lions in 2003, arrived in town on Thursday night and is scheduled to have an interview and take a physical with the Giants this morning.

Rogers, 25, was cut by the Lions in September after being slowed by a knee injury. He has worked out for the Dolphins and Chiefs since the season ended.

The oft-injured Rogers, who has played in 15 games over four seasons, reportedly was out of shape and ran a 4.8 in the 40 for the Chiefs in February.

He caught 22 passes for 243 yards and three touchdowns in five games as a rookie (he broke his collarbone), but has not come close to matching any of those numbers since. Rogers broke his collarbone again in the 2004 opener.

Rogers (6-3, 202) was suspended for four games for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy in 2005.

Are you guys serious about this?!?!?!

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -The New York Giants signed defensive tackle Marcus Bell and defensive back Michael Stone on Friday.

Bell had a career season with Detroit in 2006, recording 52 tackles before being placed on injured reserve with a broken hand. A fourth-round daft choice by Arizona, the 325-pounder spent three years with the Cardinals and the last three with the Lions.

The 28-year old Bell started seven games at nose tackle for the Lions last season. He has appeared in 86 games with 21 starts, 165 tackles and 6 1/2 sacks.

Stone spent his first four seasons with the Cardinals and then played a year with New England and last season with Houston. The 29-year-old, who has played both cornerback and safety, also had 17 special teams tackles with Arizona in 2004 and New England in 2005.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -Veteran quarterback Anthony Wright has reached an agreement on a two-year contract with the New York Giants, a person within the NFL who requested anonymity Saturday because the deal hadn't been signed.

The 31-year-old Wright, who saw limited action with the Cincinnati Bengals last season, worked out for the Giants this week.

Joel Segal, Wright's agent, did not return an e-mail seeking comment.

Entering his ninth season, Wright will compete with Jared Lorenzen and Tim Hasselbeck for the No. 2 spot behind Eli Manning. It's a job that involves a lot of preparation and little work.

Last season, Manning was the only Giants quarterback to throw a pass. Lorenzen, the backup, took a couple of snaps on quarterback sneaks, but the only other New York player to throw a pass was punter Jeff Feagles.

Wright has played with Pittsburgh, Dallas, Baltimore and Cincinnati. He has made 19 career starts, including 14 with the Ravens, seven each in 2003 and 2005. He missed the 2004 season because of surgery to repair a torn right labrum in his throwing shoulder, which he had hurt late in the 2003 season.
