Who saw Alex getting smacked on every play of the first preseason game. Dude. You suck. But the O-line is just as pathetic. It's gonna' be a long year if the 9ers don't get their rumps in gear.

I think Alex Smith will improve under new coach Jim Harbaugh, but the offensive line needs to be consistent for that to happen. I think the nienrs will go 8-8.

Week one did nothing to change my view of Smith. I hate that we could have traded (though I'm not sure who) for Orton, or brought in Kolb.I'd take either over Smith at this point. Especially in the case of Orton, you would've had a solid veteran who could run the offence, while kaepernick, or even Luck learned the trade.
