I read about the various allegations. Nothing proven so far. The most obvious seems to be the animal abuse.

Not saying he is better/worse than Mixon, but care to elaborate?

I can forgive someone for punching a person a lot easier than I can someone who abuses animals.

Sometimes people need to get punched. Can't say the same thing about what he did to those dogs.

Breaking News!: The Florida State Library is on Fire. The 5 alarm blaze is out of control. Early reports indicate that the building was empty and there are no injuries.

Listen- Mixon acted stupidly in the altercation with the coed at OU; however, what young man his age hasn't made some dumb, spur-of-the-moment decisions? Given some of the things that have transpired with dozens of other NFL and/or potential NFL players over the past few years, Mixon's actions on that evening, while inexcusable, should not be the sole determining factor when assessing his character. It is his actions subsequent to this particular episode which I believe are much more important, and in that regard, he has done everything right. I most certainly do not condone striking an unarmed woman, but I also abhor the current mentality in this country that wants to ruin the life of an individual simply on the basis of them having made a mistake as a young person. We know from past experience that young athletes who make dumb decisions can and frequently do learn from their mistake and go on to become responsible and productive adults. Joe Mixon paid for his actions by being suspended for an entire season, and he has been contrite and remorseful of his actions. Based upon his work ethic and activities since the incident in question, he deserves a second chance.

is today the day?

I think it's going to be impossible for teams looking at RB to pass on him today.

I'd be a little surprised if he wasn't taken today.

The team with the prison stripes, oops Tiger stripes, should take him to handcuff to the rest of their backfield.

As much as I was hoping for the Panthers to take him  I think the Bengals make for the perfect fit here.

On that level? Almost all of them.

We all hope Mixon has changed, matured, and learned from that. But none of us know. I think it's going to take a well run organization with a solid foundation, coaching staff and management team to help him continue his growth and progress. But he's going to have to continue to want to work on it too.

Time will tell.
