Jon Gruden on report Raiders to dismiss GM Reggie McKenzie in offseason: “I don’t have any comment on that. We’re going to build this team back. I know that. We’re going to bring the Raiders back.”

Nasty, at least be upfront about owning the decision.

While true, it does not make it any less depressing. :( However, doesn't religion preach in holding on to blind faith (or hope which is kinda the same) when all else fails?

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport named Redskins GM Bruce Allen as a potential candidate for the Raiders' GM vacancy

Perfect

I will take a semi-sober or even drunk McCloughan over a yes-man in Allen.

He was good with cap management before/during Gruden's tenure in Oakland but got the feeling he was purely a rubber stamp to Gruden in TB. He did not do anything noticeable in his tenures with Tampa and Washington.

Allen did lots of noticeable things in Tampa and Washington. They were noticeably bad, but there were certainly noticeable.

Yeah, but I'm sure most up-and-coming guys wouldn't touch that job with a 10 foot pole.

They really just need a guy to handle the players/money problem, because it's apparent Jon Gruden will do what Gruden wants to do.

McKenzie wasn't a very good money guy. He did overpay quite a few players.

Reminder that McKenzie was named “Executive of the Year” two years ago
