Ed Reed was the best safety to ever play

Too bad Steve Atwater fell short again though. Kind of hard to put 3 Broncos in though.

I’m hoping for a Broncos /Jets HOF game

Only playing in 91 career games continues to hold him back.

Yeah, that's tough for people to look past. That, and being on the Jaguars probably will prevent him from going in. Too bad injuries got the best of him.

If he doesn't get in, then Jags won't have someone in there for a long time. Jimmy Smith or Fred Taylor won't ever even get this close.

*cough* Ronnie Lott

But it's definitely arguable. Reed was a monster, amazing player.

I agree about Atwater, I was hoping he'd get in, but with Reed there waiting, I think Reed has to go in before Atwater. Hopefully he'll make it next year.

They could have avoided that by giving Cliff Branch or Tom Flores their due, and letting Atwater in over Bowlen.

Agree. Flores should have been in. He could have too the place of Bowlen this year.

Yet TD got into HOF playing only 78 games. Boselli was more dominant at his position than TD was (and at a premier position).

SBs is what got TD in. Postseason success is the great equalizer for HOF voting, right or wrong.

Agreed. I didn't think Davis should have been elected to the hall.

The HOF announced it will give the gold jacket and HOF ring to the family of Pat Bowlen after previously denying the request to Ken Stabler and Junior Seau amongst others. They said they are making the exception 'because they already started making them'

Dumb.

The rings are Jostens like the Super Bowl rings right?

If they are, they don't pay for them. Got a few friends over at Jostens, it's marketing for them to do a relatively small number of rings for the NFL for nothing. Honestly didn't quite understand how big that company really was until I talked to them about this.

So if they are already making the ring, they have it regardless.

May not have been entirely the NFLs choice on the previous ones.

Zach Thomas should be in.
