The CBA doesn't need, nor should it be required to have specific rules for every instance of a suspension. That's a disaster waiting to happen with someone doing something not expressly noted in the CBA and getting away with it.

He's getting suspended, the only variable right now is how long.

No one said that.
But the CBA lacks articulated guidelines on process and procedures that make it arbitrary. That’s hardly disputable.

The next CBA will likely see an end to the Commissioner as both executor and arbiter for discipline.

You say arbitrary, I say flexible.

I think the most the players are going to get is a predetermined list of acceptable parties to hear any disputes.

The league isn't handing discipline over to anyone.

They’re not synonymous.

I didn't say they were.

Ah. Terribly sorry then.
Based on your post I assumed you’d conflated the two concepts.
My mistake.

If Roger finds Hill did it and lied about it he’s in more trouble? Duh. That’s kind of all I got from that.

I had written a whole bunch of stuff I thought this guy was overlooking but lost it fudging around trying to embed it.

Didn't seem well thought through. I posted as it is a play out scenario and I thought it was interesting that he assumed guilt of some kind.

Yea. Dudes riffing.
Which is fine.
I know more than he does but have no idea what’s going to happen.

I’m screwing with him on Twitter. Good times
