The most important thing to remember as I toss these out there to be openly mocked - adjust depending on your leeg. This is a baseline, standard 12 team leeg (1 qb, 2 rb, 3 wr, 1 te) with 0.5 ppr. Your leegs may have keepers, full ppr, no ppr, multiple different types of flexes, auction, faab waiver system, the list goes on. Adapt or die.

He's great and I'm not drafting him
Patrick Mahomes KC (12)

They're good and I'm not drafting them
Deshaun Watson HOU (10)
Aaron Rodgers GB (11)

At his ADP, maybe. I live in Cleveland though.
Baker Mayfield CLE (7)

Pick Wentz
Carson Wentz PHI (10)

Don't caaaaare
Matt Ryan ATL (9)
Drew Brees NO (9)
Russell Wilson SEA (11)
Cam Newton CAR (7)

If you don't get Wentz
Jared Goff LAR (9)
Tom Brady NE (10)

People from his hometown don't even like him
Ben Roethlisberger PIT (7)

A bucket of volatility and I want one of them
Lamar Jackson BAL (8)
Mitch Trubisky CHI (6)
Kyler Murray ARI (12)
Jameis Winston TB (7)

If I need something safe
Philip Rivers LAC (12)
Dak Prescott DAL (8)
Kirk Cousins MIN (12)

The bottom just fell out - and you don't want to know what's below them
Matthew Stafford DET (5)
Sam Darnold NYJ (4)
Jimmy Garoppolo SF (4)
Josh Allen BUF (6)
Jacoby Brissett (6)

One from each is where I'll likely go.

COnsidering my drafts trends I figure that Lamar and Mitch are gonna be there around 10 ( would like to hold out til 11/12 ) and I'll be happy.. I wouldn't be all that disappointed with those safe QB's either.

If Zekes holdout continues into the season I'll probably steer clear of Dak though. Not sure I want a piece of Murray either at this point.

I ended up with mahommes at 11th pick of the 4th. It was hard to pass up. What happens when everyone waits.

Dak was up in the Goff/Brady/Ben tier. I moved him down because of Zeke. And this time next week I may move him down further if Zeke is still not there, which I don't think he will. I think the magic day on the calendar is either Sep 2 or Sep 4.

^^^That. His adp is 15. If he falls to pick 47 then re-assess on the fly. Not something you can plan on in advance though.

I have drawn a line of where I take Mahomes and it's a little earlier than that.

I don't expect to have to make that decision but I know where I feel comfortable taking him in regards to other players available. Everyone should.

I'd look at Mahomes in the 4th round but really depends who else is there. Most leagues he won't be there though since weaker players tend to go after QB early.

Same. Specifically targeting Phil/Mitch

He’s been there in the 4th, 5 years ago no, but your average drafter has gotten a little better over the years.

He hasn't been there in the mocks I've done. And I usually will always have a couple of weaker drafters in my leagues, so I expect to see him go by early 3rd round most times

Pennington 2 QB superflex I went Wentz--QB9, Rivers--QB16 and Lamar--QB20. Super high on Wentz, who I think is top-5 this year. Settled on Rivers as a safe, consistent option with a great floor. Lamar may implode, but he may also be "that guy" who blows up and leads you to a championship.

I have a live draft coming up on Sunday morning. 12 team standard and passing TD's are worth 6 pts. Non ppr, and you MUST draft a legal line up of 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR/TE, 1 K, 1 DEF within the 1st 9 rounds (which allows you to draft 1 bench player within those 9 rounds).

Does that make Mahomes a worthy pick in the 2nd round?

If you think he's the top QB and/or comes close to matching last season, absolutely.
