He was consensus 5th pick but the preseason games the team haven’t looked good. Wonder if we are overlooking this potential top 3 rb

I think so.
He managed 1400 total yards and 10 TDs last season on the league's worst offense, behind a bad line and with terrible QBs.
Barring injury, that's his floor.

The line may only be slightly better, but the QB alone can make a huge difference, and I've got Johnson pegged as a great mid-round 1 pick.
You can make an argument for one of the top WRs there, but after Kamara, McCaffrey and Barkley (and Zeke if he ever shows up) are gone, there's not a RB I'd take ahead of him.

I dont have David Johnson at that elite tier though. Id take an elite WR over him all day.

Id take Mixon and a few others over Johnson. Hell i like Carson over Johnson

I definitely don't like Carson over Johnson, but I'll be happy to pair them up. I've got a draft next weekend with the #7 spot, and there's a solid chance Carson makes it all the way to round 3.

Depends. I'd handcuff anyone of the holdouts. I plan to target Ake as he's been available in the 7-8 round and later in all my mocks.

DJ and Zeke are flipping flopping that 4th pick in mymocks. Not sure I'd do Julio there. I have a mental alarm at picking Julio super early. I guess those ankle issues yrs before still haunt me. :-k

I'm picking 8th in my home league and I'm just hoping Zeke is gone by then.

I'm picking 9th in my home league but I'm hoping the same. I will probably just take Chubb regardless and be happy

10th pick in a 12 team 1.0 PPR. WR/WR? RB/RB? RB/WR? Age old question! I could be looking at Thomas, Julio, Mixon, Connor, Adams among others. I wanna go strong 1 and 2 as there is a gap after that. Thoughts if everything goes pretty much by ranking through first two picks? Not ideal, but I like my spot, quick turnaround. Should be able to land two strong ones. Thanks Sharks and good luck to everyone.

I’m in the same quandary and have the 4th pick. I’m curious who was on the board when you took pollard?

As I talked about in the "TE Tiers" thread, I love Howard this year and that's the exact round (6th) where I'll consider taking him. And it was late in the 6th for you which is nice.

Love your 3 RB's. That's got a lot of potential. Keenan Allen is a wildcard, but has top 5 potential, so there's risk/reward there. Woods should be a solid WR2, and then between Sutton/Samuel/TreQuan, as long as one of them pops you should have a solid roster. Good Stuff.

I'm in the same boat, Markulous.

9th pick in my home league. 12 team PPR, 3rd round reversal. I'll be picking at 3.04 in the 3rd round, but am seriously thinking about Chubb at 1.09. But, do we really pass on one of Julio/MT/OBJ at 1.09 for Chubb? That's the debate...

ESPECIALLY considering this league (which I've been running for the last five years) is a 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1FLEX, 1TE, 1DEF league.

Starting 3 WR's and the option for a 4th WR at Flex is a big rule. I only need to start two RB's so there's more of a necessity to grab an elite WR (or two) early in the draft.

But, I could always go Chubb at 1.09 and then attack WR the next two or three rounds depending on how the draft unfolds, of course.
