I'm just hoping that Payton doesn't try to outsmart himself while putting the Game Plan together.

With Brees missing 6 Games, I wouldn't be surprised if he stays on for another year.

He was looking like an upper-tier game manager prior to his injury. Lots of teams would love to have one of those right now.

Big Teddy fan here, although I had concerns when he came out about his lack of physicality and athleticism. He was good with the Vikings and getting better, and it was easy to see the possibility of him taking the next big step that year. It is not even debatable that the Vikes were devastated by his injury. When they kept him through an almost 2 year rehab it was due to the promise they saw, and only gave up on him when they were forced to have to commit to his 5th year option.

I hope he thrives, he seems like a good guy by all accounts.
