I think his floor can be a good backup but I'm starting to come around that his ceiling is being a decent starting QB. Giving some credit to JDF is fair, but definitely have to give Minshew some credit for executing too. Maybe all of that will change later. I agree that we just have to wait and see what happens.

I can agree with these expectations. I think his floor at this point is Brian Hoyer. I'm open to the possibility of him developing into a quality starter in the future a la Andy Dalton, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and if we're really stretching Philip Rivers.

I can see Dalton or maybe Rivers, but just so hard to say since it's so early. I'm just trying to enjoy the ride and just see how he keeps playing.

I cant even rule out us drafting a QB next year quite yet.

Well not sure he is going anywhere. 1st , 2nd, and Hurst sounds like a pretty fair deal.

I've got to think that they're holding out for 2 1sts, ala Mack last season.

Which I think they can get. Ramsey is the best CB in football right now, and we've seen the effect he has on the Jaguars defense.

The position he plays is valuable but not quite as valuable as a DE or QB. I think he may be worth more to the Jags than to others, I'm skeptical (or maybe just hopeful) no one will give up that much for a DB.

Wow they turned down 1 2 and a former 1st round te in his second season. Thats quite a haul, imo

Itd make them superbowl favorites if that happened which probably did play a part in their decision to say no, bc theyre an AFC team

Jaguars may not be big on Hurst or Khan just shut it down maybe. They may have done a first and second from eagles plus Goedert, but who knows

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Jaguars are "not interested" in trading Jalen Ramsey.
According to Schefter, if the Jags were serious about moving Ramsey, they would have done it by now. For his part, the disgruntled cornerback hasn't softened his stance and remains steadfast in his desire to be traded. Ramsey could force the team's hand by refusing to practice. He'll have an opportunity to do so when the Jaguars return to work Monday coming off their Thursday night victory over Tennessee.

If it's just Jalen vs. Coughlin, I'm curious how it ends up. Coughlin really has no business being in the building next year, so if they decide to move on, maybe start now? I just would hate to trade Jalen because of him, then we get rid of the problem a couple months later. Seems like a preventable issue.

All he has to do is call Coughlin a cracker

Although I have to assume he already did

Guess we'll find out here soon. It seems pretty common for players to call in sick and have a doctor sent to their house, so this could be all legitimate and it's just being blown out of proportion because of the other drama.
