I'm not sure he has a high ceiling. He's only had one big game.

I’m really mad that I didn’t move on Gesicki. I think he blows up Sunday.

Mike Gesicki, Dolphins (@ IND, 17)

Preston Williams is out for the year, and Gesicki has been one of Ryan Fitzpatrick’s favorite targets in the passing game. He had his best game of the season in Week 9 (6-95 on six targets), but had a couple of serviceable lines in Week 6 (3-51 on seven targets) and Week 7 (4-41 on four targets). Since Week 6, Gesicki has the third most air yards at his position, joining Hunter Henry, Zach Ertz, Mark Andrews and Travis Kelce in the top five

Debating if I should drop Jonnu Smith for Gesicki in my 1/2 PPR league for this week.
Ertz is my main TE... who's also been kinda garbage except last week.

Yes. I would. But I’ve also dropped Jonnu for Guice, so maybe I’m wanting that to be right move :)

I’ve got five TE in one team.
Engram (IR)
Howard
Gesicki
Smith
Hollister

One of them will hit, right?

Right?

I’ve never had so much garbage cluttering up the place

Sure, he hasn't been as great as he was before, but when I see this thread bumped seemingly every week it confirms why I aggressively pursued Travis Kelce everywhere. Sure, posting that just now, the ultimate jinx. But, this position. What a mess.

There have been rumblings amongst our league to get rid of TE and make it a WR/RB/TE flex. Thoughts?

My thought is that was probably proposed by the guy that drafted OJ Howard.

I'll propose that too. It would only make a few TEs worth having probably but it makes it a bit less stressful trying to sort through the mediocrity

Me personally, every leeg that I am in is different than the others. That's intentional. The different formats is the draw for me. I'm generally against anything that makes this game more simple. Sure, 'fun' is part of the equation. I just don't associate easy with fun. I think the challenge is part of the fun. But everyone has their own motivations.

I would likely vote against it. I'd rather have a position like TE, where you've got to either make a big investment in a stud or struggle mightily hoping to hit a dart throw, over the current state of QB, where you can wait until the end of the draft and then stream away.

This TE situation is terrible. Even the good ones haven’t. been great.
So who do I roll with for rest of year ?
Gesicki
Herndon (feel like Ive been waiting since the Sunmer)
Goedert ( now that Djax is hurt .)
Old Man Witten
