Coach Jon Gruden confirmed that he expects Josh Jacobs (shoulder) to suit up Sunday against the Texans.
Specifically, Gruden stated, "He's a young player, obviously. He's got a shoulder. We're listinghim as questionable. We're expecting him to play but we'll have to see how it goes." The Raiders have been committed to feeding their first-round RB the rock in the run game, as he's racked up 17, 26 and 21 carries in three games since back-to-back blowouts against the Chiefs and Vikings in Weeks 2 and 3. Still, Jacobs is better treated as a high-end RB2 than matchup-proof RB1 as long as Jalen Richard and DeAndre Washington remain annoyingly involved, particularly as long as Jacobs is at risk for limited snaps while operating at less than 100 percent.

Josh Jacobs said he's been playing through a fractured shoulder since Week 7.

Jacobs did not practice on Wednesday, but he's missed practice before and hasn't missed a game yet. That trend should continue as long as he gets a limited practice in before Friday. Jacobs will be on the RB1/2 borderline for Week 14 against the Titans assuming he's ready to go.

He’s been toughIng it out since week 7... I expect he’ll probably play this week since they are still mathematically in the hunt.... if they lose this week then they are all but done so going forward they could sit him and make sure he heals up.... at least that’s my take

I know. Lame. I guess I’ll be sitting him. I could put in Ingram or Scarborough in his place

Even if he doesnt play another snap this year he should win offensive rookie of the year. He is tough as hell.

I wouldn’t rush to that. He sits most of the week regardless of what he’s dealing with because they workhorse him during the games.

I think if our FO wasn't dumb, Minshew would be in line as a favorite for ORotY

Perhaps. I agree. But Foles ruined his chances.

Yep, he would need a miracle for that to happen now

I think he will sit this one out. He went over 1000 yards for the season last week and if they are smart, they should let him heal up a bit.

I like Bo this week. Good matchup.
