I'd think with Penny back to being healthy and being productive, Carson's leash may be a bit shorter with the fumbles, but maybe I'm wrong. Either way, I agree that both guys seem to be worth starting.

I have both Penny and Carson.

I have a bye this week but may have to start both after that.

My other flex options are M Sanders and McCoy.

Probably comes down to whether J Howard will be playing or not.

I'd start Penny over McCoy. Maybe Sanders depending on the matchup and Howard's availability as you said.

When making waiver/bench decisions, I've found it easier to ask myself, "Do I see myself ever starting this guy over <insert any main roster player> on a good matchup?"

If the answer is no, dump him for a guy with upside.

Dumped Christian Kirk in one league for Alshon Jeffery who got dumped for injuries (2WR league).

Thoughts on Penny this week?

Just took Fitzgerald out of my PPR flex spot and put Penny in.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, it "appears" Rashaad Penny will miss the remainder of 2019 with a knee injury suffered in Sunday's Week 14 loss to the Rams.

Even coach Pete Carroll, who is well-known for his "glass half-full" approach to injuries, didn't sound optimistic about this one, calling Penny's knee injury "significant." Penny is believed to have suffered an ACL sprain, though the Seahawks won't know for sure until he undergoes more tests. The 2018 first-rounder showed promise this year, contributing an electric 5.7 yards per carry while working in tandem with Chris Carson. With Penny's injury likely of the season-ending variety, the Seahawks will move forward with Carson as their workhorse with C.J. Prosise operating in a change-of-pace capacity. Already over 1,000 yards rushing for the year, Carson should flirt with weekly RB1 value from here on out.

Yeah, this seems to be a moot discussion at this point. I've been struggling with the Carson/Ekeler question, but as far as the Penny question goes, as EZR noted, Penny was never going to be "the guy."

Rashaad Penny is out for the season

Tweet from Ian Rapoport:
#Seahawks RB Rashaad Penny tore his ACL in last night’s loss to the #Rams and is out for the season, source said. The MRI confirmed the news for the former first-round pick, who also has additional damage to his knee. He’s out until training camp. Tough injury.

Yes. He doesn't play for the Redskins.
