My guess is yes. They really don't have any better options right now.

He’s probably getting the tag, especially if they can get Barrett signed.

If you been following Arians this year and what his been saying, it’s highly likly winston playing in Tampa next year.

Hopefully he signs for just 3 years. I'm okay with it. I expect him to play better under his 2nd year with BA/Leftwich.

Signed, a top fan.

We must draft a qb early on though, depending on talent available.

I'd give him the tag and hope to hell you draft someone who can be ready in 1-2 years.

This. They don't have much of a choice. Maybe they draft Tua and sit on him for a season. But why sign Teddy or Tannehill or Dalton when Winston has given the Bucs one of their best offensive seasons ever despite the turnovers

Bucs coach Bruce Arians expects to reach a decision on Jameis Winston's future with the team in a "couple weeks."

"You look at it and there’s so much good and so much outright terrible,'' Arians said of Winston's play on Sunday evening. He was even more aggressive on Monday when asked if he could win with another quarterback. "Oh yeah. If we can win with this one, we can definitely win with another one, too." As you already know, Winston posted a 33:30 TD:INT total this season while throwing for the eighth most yards in league history (5,109). Winston's turnovers are partly a function of far more down-field aggression than most QBs, but as Arians alludes to, many more are simply the result of terrible decision-making. Anything will be possible in Tampa this offseason.

Arians is awesome

Saw that but knew the problem with this “analysis” immediately. Remove blame for 65% of the INTs then compare that total with other QBs.

You have to do a like-for-like comparison. How many INTs did Tom Brady or Jimmy G or Rodgers throw that were their fault. Way less than 13! Maybe 2-3!

To put it in perspective....

*No one knows interceptions like Brett Favre. He has thrown more than any other player to wear an NFL uniform. And he’s thrown so many that Jameis Winston would need 13 more 20-interception seasons to surpass Favre’s record 336 career picks.

Not saying he's Farve, but a interception machine can still be an elite QB.
