If he wants to be close to family, I can't see him going to Indy. I thought I read somewhere, possibly in one of the discussion groups (which makes it a reliable source) that he only plans on two more years. So, close to home is Florida. Jags have Foles and Minshew Magic Mustache. I see Tampa or Miami.
He signs with Miami who gets Tua? Tua does a Patrick Mahomes/Aaron Rodgers and rehabs and learns for a year or so? That's two more years of drafting and developing for Miami before the rook takes over.

Miami already has Fitz, who at this point is just as good and probably a little better than Rivers.

Are people really buying this bullcrap about Rivers being done? Maybe he's tapering off a smidgen, but we've seen this Rivers before in 2011 and 2012 when people were calling him broken.

The SD O-line ranked 26th, and 28th via PFF in those seasons.

This season LAC's O-line ranked 29th.

I do not take PFF's O-line rankings as gospel, but it was clear to anyone who watched football that they had very poor O-line play during all of these seasons.

When you do not protect Rivers, you get what you expect from an immobile QB with adequate but not amazing arm strength-- mediocre QB play.

And the dolphins already have a mediocre QB signed.

They aren't competing this year, so the signing makes no sense for either party.

They should be more competitive this season. They aren't likely to compete for the playoffs.

Yes his line is bad. But that's no excuse for his terrible judgment and vision.
He throws it up for random grabs pressured or not.
He's been bad for some time. Arm is shot, vision is bad, and he's a statue.
Just what a team wants in free agency.

Could be but I'm not 100% convinced he's done.. I think given the right situation he could still be relevant. I don't think Miami is a good fit but Tampa or Carolina might be.

Dude was under duress nearly every drop back this last season. Not making excuses for many of those picks and fumbles but much of that might be attributed to the pressure he saw. Might be....
