He may sign for under 10, but it won’t be for multiple years, that’s just being optimistic. I think he would sit the year before signing for under 10. Garret just signed for 25,Clowney is 27 so he’s still young.

Agreed, he is looking at a 1 year deal now, prove he's healthy and sign whatever kind of deal he can in 2021

How talented is Clowney compared to guys like Jones, Bosa, etc.? I have to imagine other teams question his ability considering the hesitance to sign him and possible low-ball offers out there. I've never seen many Texans games, but he never struck me as a game-changer. He seems like an elite run-stuffer, but not necessarily an elite pass-rusher, which is what gets paid the big bucks.

That's my impression of him.
Some splash plays but no consistent domination.
Kind of a tweener, never a ton of sacks.
More of a fun chess piece to move around the defense than a real cornerstone.
I could be wrong . . .

better against the run than the pass is how I'd describe him but could be wrong

Is he a difference maker? Doesn't seem so.
