For those of you wondering how the NFL season will commence amidst the Coronavirus Pandemic:

These billionaire owners of NFL teams consider everyone beneath them as expendable. More meat for the grinder in whatever makes them more money. That's it. That's the story.

This season will commence no matter what because for it not to happen means rich people make less money than they otherwise would regular folk be damned.

NFL is just a microcosm of the entire US

"A new study published Monday in the JAMA Cardiology Journal found that 78 percent of recovered COVID-19 patients had permanent heart damage.

The study from the University Hospital Frankfurt examined the cardiovascular MRIs of 100 people who had recovered from the coronavirus. The heart images showed that almost 80 percent of recovered COVID-19 patients had structural changes to their hearts.

Sixty percent of patients had ongoing myocardial (heart muscle) inflammation even after recovery.

The majority of the patients were not hospitalized and recovered at home, with symptoms ranging from none to moderate."

Everything I see says "cancels 2020 season" but the spring is 2021? Case of semantics? It's breaking so maybe more details are forthcoming.

My son plays Division II in Texas and they moved the season to Spring. I have to assume that is the plan here but of course, with these big programs and players getting themselves ready for the combine and draft, maybe they will just cancel.

I would imagine any player with a chance of being drafted would rather work out for the combine (if!) then risk injury in a spring season.

UTPB - Texas Permian Basin in Odessa, Lone Star Conference

The New Mexico schools bailed first, then Division II decided to cancel their championships so it was only a matter of time.

They can still practice on campus though so it sounds like that's what they plan on doing. Or at least weights/conditioning. Things change almost daily but he's scheduled to go back next week.

my local university (UWF) won the DII championship last year. our conference (gulf south) is supposed to make a call tomorrow. they'd already delayed the start of the season to the end of september. i'm pretty sure they're gonna scratch it entirely.
