It removed the status for TE in our ESPN league. Basically removing him and placing him on the bench.

No moves allowed for me on my team I have Hill at TE. So here is the latest info on this from ESPN:

4. What if I leave Hill in a starting lineup spot other than QB going forward? Will I still get the points he scores?

• If Hill is left in the TE, Flex or WR/TE slot, users will be unable to make any roster or lineup moves until they remove him from that slot.

• If a user chooses to not remove him from that slot, the user will receive points for Hill's performance. However, if your league deems that to be an unfair advantage, league managers (LMs) have the ability to move Hill out of the starting lineup for any team in their league.

• To do so, LMs should visit their league on the ESPN Fantasy website, select "LM Tools" from the sub-navigation and then select "Roster Moves" from the "Roster Tools" section. From there, the LM can choose to edit the roster of the team that rosters Hill, including the ability to drop Hill, if that is desired.

• If your league has roster minimums and maximums at QB and/or TE, it's possible this change could invalidate your roster and you might be forced to make roster moves in order to field a valid roster.

This was so infuriating...

I couldn't just replace him with another TE, I had to actually drop him from my roster completely.

Needless to say I'll not be returning to that league, or joining any other ESPN leagues in the future. I mean it was a free league anyway, doing a favor for a guy at work who needed a last minute replacement, but yeah, the ESPN functionality in general is just terrible.

That’s ridiculous. They should’ve just switched over his position designation and then. But maybe the issue is roster limits. If your lg limits to say two qbs and you have two, then I’d they switched it, it would men you’re out of compliance.

But, they should figure something out because this won’t be last time we see this situation

Yeah that the issue in my league. QB limit is 2. I can't even drop a different QB and keep him because everyone is locked. So basically they are forcing you to drop him. Its a joke.

Yep. My league doesn't actually have that 2QB limit, but I was forced to drop him due to some stupid other rule about only subbing in the same position, and since Hill wasn't a TE anymore there was no way to replace him without dropping him.

Maybe it was some weird setting in that league, but ESPN has not impressed me at all with the way they manage anything.

ESPN was a big cluster. I had a trade that was going through at midnight, when rosters unlock. They changed his Eligibility to only quarterback prior to midnight which nullified the trade because I had an illegal roster. If they would’ve just waited till after all players are unlocked, I’m sure it would’ve save some hassle.
