Indy is the very best landing spot for a veteran QB. Guys like Stafford and Ryan could win a SB there IMO.

He deserves his own thread. Will miss his personality and competitiveness.

And the gifs.

HOF in my eyes and one of my favorite QBs to watch. But i see the argument for him NOT to get in...if Rivers gets in then there are a few guys on the fence that have to get in too.

Keep this to Phillip Rivers memes rather than talking about the Colts which he doesn't belong to anymore because he had no 2021 contract so there's no point.

Open a Colts QB watch thread.

HOF? 17 seasons, only 7 playoff appearances, no Super Bowl appearance, and barely over a 2:1 TD to INT ratio?

Nah.

Agreed. I am never upset when a guy like Rivers gets in, although the Hall of Above Average would probably fit him better.

Going to echo thirded.

Guys like Joe Namath are in the Hall of Fame.

But guys like Randall Cunningham, Boomer Esiason, and Phil Simms who are less accomplished than Philip Rivers are not.

Philip Rivers:
63,000 passing yards (#5 all time)
421 pass TDS (#5 all time)
95 QB rating (#12 all time)
240 consecutive starts (#3 all time)

The negative of inducting Philip Rivers is then you have to look at Ben Roethlisberger, Matt Ryan, and even *gag* Joe Flacco being in the HOF if Philip Rivers gets in.

Rivers would jump to top 3 on "Best QBs not in the HoF" when he becomes eligible (both Mannings will be 1st ballot).

Namath won a Super Bowl, and played in a totally different era.

Irrelevant.
