NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Jets have received "real interest" in Sam Darnold.
Rapoport said the team would "complete their evaluations of the top QBs in the NFL Draft before making any decisions" on what to do with Darnold. All signs point to the Jets trading Darnold in the coming weeks. The Patriots and Washington have expressed some interest in acquiring Darnold in hopes that Adam Gase did not permanently break the once-promising QB. Rapoport said the Jets are in no hurry to deal Darnold, who could be left in career limbo for at least the next two months.

nothing of real note besides the Washington Team and Patriots being possibly interested.

I guess both of those teams make sense, depending on the price the JETS ask (or are able to get).

I'm kind of wondering what the source is for those teams expressing interest though. Is it from the JETS org? Is it from the WFT or Patriots? Is it from Papoports butt?

Occam's razor - no way of knowing, but unless info suggests otherwise proceed as if the source is the Jets.

Yeah, and most of these blurbs from various reporters don't mean anything other than that they needed to report something.

So, as slow as news about the NFL is right now no surprise that it's one of the more interesting things out there.
