MFL top 12 players so far this season by fantasy points... in one of my leagues anyway...

1. Allen, Josh BUF QB 273 27.3
2. Mahomes, Patrick KCC QB 268 26.8
3. Hurts, Jalen PHI QB 266 26.6
4. Fields, Justin CHI QB 249 22.6
5. Ekeler, Austin LAC RB 239 23.9
6. Burrow, Joe CIN QB 238 23.8
7. Henry, Derrick TEN RB 236 23.6
8. Jackson, Lamar BAL QB 229 22.9
9. Diggs, Stefon BUF WR 222 22.2
10. Jacobs, Josh LVR RB 218 21.8
11. Kelce, Travis KCC TE 218 21.8
12. Barkley, Saquon NYG RB 217 21.7

And he is up there in the list every year... so i don't know why some of you are so hell bent on not taking a TE early.
Only 3 RBs and 1 WR ahead of him in fantasy points so far this season... and getting 21.8 points a game from the TE slot EVERY WEEK helps a LOT. Just sayin.

Yes he is the only TE worth taking early. Yet I still prefer to go RB or or top tier wr (if it’s ppr)

He is a HUGE advantage in leagues that require a TE starting slot. I'll take him in the 1st next year, regardless of draft position. 1.01? Travis Kelce; CMON DOWNNNNN!

Then I’m definitely not taking him. :-p

and with all the injuries to RBs. I'll be taking Kelce 1st round next year if he's available. He's a can't miss player

That's my theory on 1st and 2nd rd selections: safest picks, not biggest upside. I had 1.01 in a 10-team PPR redraft this year and didn't hesitate picking Kupp.

RBs are just too volatile and injury-prone

And yet how ironic is that pick.

I've taken Kelce in the 1st or 2nd for the last few yrs for the same guaranteed pts, except this one. I agree he's a very valuable pickup, but this yr I thought there were going to be better value picks to target in 3-5th rounds and was thinking his age and usage this yr would bite me if I did. Doesn't seem to be the case.

Although if I didn't get Diggs in the 1st, I probably would have taken Kelce again regardless of that age/usage concern..

Upset with the Taysom/Hock failed experiments so far.

just remember Kelce just extended his contract for another three years so probably good for at least two more on your fantasy team, he's a solid point getter in a spot where you usually don't generate points. I've had him my keeper league for at least three years now. last year was his worst so far. But this year has far made up for it. I'm more worried about Cook one of my other keepers at this point. I need a replacement for him.

I kept Pitts in my IR spot in my main league so that he can help support his teammates from the sideline in the playoffs

Man... I get what's being said and the logic is sound but I just can't get myself to do it... The one recent year I got him it happened when I drafted 1 and got him at the 2/3 turn. Still not sure how he was still available.

The championships I've won ( 3 with Gronk ) all included a stud TE so I know it makes sense but my brain struggles big time with the decision.

I'll talk myself out of it again next draft when my brain says Kelce is getting old and this will be the beginning of his downhill slide... I did that with Brady for like 10 years straight

Far as Pitts goes, luckily he was on my subconscious do not draft list. No real sound reason for it other than I've never been a fan of MM the QB.. I also know that doesn't mean Pitts couldn't have overcome..

Also remember he just signed an extension on his contract, I think he's good for 2 more years barring injury. He's #5 in overall recieving yards so far this year, and the number one target in one of the best offenses in the league. easily worth the pick. Not to mention his 12 TDs. In an otherwise 5-6 point position.
