I don't think they'll be nearly as bad as many are predicting.
They have at least 3 impact bats in the lineup with Wright, Davis and Duda, and a couple others with potential. Santana's only a couple years removed from being the best pitcher in baseball. Niese and Gee both have talent and could take another step forward, and Dickey's a solid #3 starter. Pelfrey still sucks.
They're probably not a legitimate contender for the division, but they'll be better than a bunch of teams in the NL. Houston, Chicago, Pittsburgh, LA...All look worse than the Mets.
