THE GREY REPORT: Week 13

Drew Brees – – Continues to roll so don’t overthink it and keep riding the talented veteran.

Alvin Kamara – – Faces a good run defense, but his receiving skills could be huge, so continue to ride the talented youngster.

Mark Ingram – – Does face a good run defense, but certainly could get a crack at the end zone, so while he has more risk than usual, remains a decent gamble.

Michael Thomas – – Coming off a quiet game, but those are pretty rare, so continue to ride this must start option.

Tre’Quan Smith – – Dealing with an injured foot, but is hopeful to play. Since he is so inconsistent, may be best to play it safe with another option.

Keith Kirkwood – – A banged up Smith could lead to more action, but likely nowhere near enough to justify starting.

Austin Carr – – Not producing enough to consider him a viable option.

Brandon Marshall – – Still not being used much, so hard to trust him.

Ben Watson – – Still too reliant on rare touchdowns, so may be best to look at other options.

Dan Arnold – – Starting to see more action and could surprise. Still would like to see more from him before trusting him. Though maybe if you are in a bind, he could surprise.

Wil Lutz – – The Cowboys defense is solid and could force the Saints to settle for some FG attempts, which could lead to a big day.

New Orleans Saints – – The defense has been coming on, though do face an offense that has started to find itself. But could be worth taking a chance on them.

Dak Prescott – – Coming off a big game and facing a struggling pass defense and likely will be playing catch up, which should give him a ton of upside.

Ezekiel Elliott – – Even against a strong run defense, he remains a must start option that can go off any week. Certainly could see more use as a receiver and the Cowboys will have to put up some points, which could help his cause.

Rod Smith – – Still just a handcuff to Elliott.

Amari Cooper – – Really starting to roll and has a great match-up, so definitely worth riding again to see if he can stay hot.

Cole Beasley – – Continues to be an inconsistent option, but does have a solid match-up, so maybe he can get it done.

Tavon Austin – – Still banged up and even if he can play, not worth the risk.

Michael Gallup – – The rookie has shown flashes, but hard to trust him. That being said, he has a great match-up, so does have a chance to surprise.

Allen Hurns – – Still not being used much, so continue to forget him.

Geoff Swaim – – Likely out again after having surgery on his wrist. Even if he can play, hard to count on him.

Blake Jarwin – – His production continues to be lagging, so not an option you want to consider starting.

Brett Maher – – The offense has been coming on and has a solid match-up and likely will need to put up plenty of points, which should help his cause.

Dallas Cowboys – – The defense has been quiet fantasy wise and facing an offense that has been tearing it up, so hard to count on them.

Josh Allen – – While he has a solid match-up, still hard to trust the inconsistent rookie signal caller. I wouldn’t be shocked if he had a solid game, but doesn’t have near as much upside as most other QBs.

LeSean McCoy – – Has been an inconsistent option, but has a great match-up, which should make it a good week to give him a look.

Chris Ivory – – Just not being used enough to consider him worth your time, even with a good match-up.

Kelvin Benjamin – – Still not producing enough to put him back on the fantasy map.

Zay Jones – – Not getting enough targets to consider him a viable option.

Andre Holmes – – No fantasy value to be found here, so keep looking.

Ray-Ray McCloud – – Move along, no fantasy value to be found here.

Robert Foster – – Even after a 75 yard touchdown reception last week, he is not worth your time.

Charles Clay – – Still dealing with that hamstring and even if he can go, hard to expect him to help your cause.

Logan Thomas – – Even if Clay is out again, don’t expect him to produce enough to justify a start.

Steven Hauschka – – The offense has a solid match-up, but still have been hard to trust them, so may want to find a kicker on a better offense.

Buffalo Bills – – The defense has been up and down, though against an inconsistent offense, they could pay off and help your cause.

Ryan Tannehill – – Coming off a solid game as he is trying to work the kinks out. Will have his hands full against a strong Bills pass defense, so may be best to explore other avenues.

Kenyan Drake – – Dealing with an injured shoulder and since he has been inconsistent when healthy, it may be wise to play it safe with another option.

Frank Gore – – Has his moments, but Drake continues to impact his value, some weeks more than others. Drake is banged up and if he is out or limited, that could help his cause and maybe he can help you out.

Kalen Ballage – – The rookie is still not being used much, so continue to forget about him.

Kenny Stills – – Like all the Dolphin WRs, continue to disappoint and you just never know which one, if any, will step up any given week. Hard to trust any of them. Maybe as Tannehill gets it together, that will change, but I’d wait until they prove to be worthy.

DeVante Parker – – See Stills and apply the same logic.

Danny Amendola – – See Stills and Parker (Plus he is dealing with knee and hamstring injuries).

Jakeem Grant – – See the rest of the Dolphin WRs.

Mike Gesicki – – The rookie has done little, so remains a non-starter for the fantasy football world.

Jason Sanders – – The rookie has been better of late and playing at home, the Dolphins should be able to find some success, but could struggle to finish drives and be forced to settle for field goals.

Miami Dolphins – – The defense has been up and down, though they could benefit from facing an iffy Bills offense, so could be a nice time to give them a look.

Case Keenum – – A great match-up will give him enough upside to justify a start, so could be a good time to give him a spot start if you don’t have an elite QB.

Phillip Lindsay – – Coming off another big game as he continues to produce and faces a struggling run defense, so should be a good week to ride the rookie.

Royce Freeman – – Still not getting enough touches to feel good about starting him, even with a good match-up. Maybe he can punch one into the end zone, but still too much risk to feel comfortable starting.

Devontae Booker – – You can continue to forget about this useless fantasy option.

Emmanuel Sanders – – Coming off a big game, which he hasn’t had many of in 2018. That being said, he has a great match-up and could pay off in a big way if he can stay hot.

Courtland Sutton – – Coming off a quiet game and has been hit or miss. Does have an awesome match-up, which should give him enough upside to consider him worth a roll of the dice.

DaeSean Hamilton – – His production is extremely lacking, so keep looking for fantasy help.

Tim Patrick – – Still not doing much, so continue to forget him.

Matt LaCosse – – With Heuerman’s season over due to injuries, he is the next man up. Still would like to see him do something before considering him for your fantasy team.

Brandon McManus – – The offense should be able to find success against a struggling defense, though maybe on the road they will be forced to settle for some FG attempts.

Denver Broncos – – The defense has been solid and could benefit from facing an inconsistent and banged up offense that will be relying on their backup QB who will be making his first career start.

Jeff Driskel – – Will get his first career start and the Broncos can be thrown on, but still hard to trust a QB making his starting debut. His legs could help his cause, but I’d still prefer many other options.

Andy Dalton – – Placed on injured reserved with an injured thumb.

Joe Mixon – – Expect him to be quite busy to take the pressure off Driskel. The Broncos can be run on, but they are liable to key on the run and force the green QB to beat them. Still capable of getting the job done though.

Giovani Bernard – – Hasn’t been getting many touches of late as Mixon has been used a bit more as a receiver. Still capable of making a big play, but hard to trust him with the lack of touches recently.

A.J. Green – – Hopes to return from that injured toe, but who knows how effective he will be and how the QB change will impact him. Always capable of a big game, but definitely a riskier option than usual.

Tyler Boyd – – Has been solid, but the QB change will add risk, though he does have a chance to put up some solid numbers against a defense that has had some issues against the pass.

John Ross – – Has been finding the end zone, but still a risky option as he hasn’t caught a ton of passes. Maybe the QB change will help, but still hard to count on the speedster.

Alex Erickson – – Still not being used enough to justify starting.

Cody Core – – Not worth your time, so keep looking for WR help.

C.J. Uzomah – – He was targeted a whopping 13 times last week, but that resulted in very little production, so still hard to count on him. Maybe he can get it done, but I’d prefer to lean on a more proven option.

Randy Bullock – – Who knows how the offense will respond to the loss of Dalton. Face a solid defense, though maybe at home they can do enough to allow him to help.

Cincinnati Bengals – – The defense has been a disappointment, but they do have some play makers so they are capable of making plays. Still hard to feel good about them considering their struggles of late.

Andrew Luck – – Has a tough match-up, but he has been on a tear and remains a must start option. Does have less upside than usual, but still worth a start. With Ramsey banged up and maybe out, that would give him a boost.

Marlon Mack – – Dealing with a concussion and could be forced to sit out, so watch his status closely. Decent match-up, so he could pay off if you need him and he is cleared to play.

Nyheim Hines – – Just not being used quite enough to justify starting on the road against a good overall defense. Though if Mack is unable to go, he could benefit and surprise. Still a risky play with an iffy match-up.

Jordan Wilkins – – Not being used enough to consider him fantasy worthy.

T.Y. Hilton – – Continues to roll, but will have to deal with Jalen Ramsey (Though Ramsey is hurt, so that could really help) and the Jaguars talented pass defense. But he can get it done any week and with Luck throwing his way, he should still be worth a start, even with a bit more risk than usual.

Dontrelle Inman – – You never know which WR will step up outside of Hilton, so hard to count on any of them against a strong pass defense.

Chester Rogers – – Capable of making some plays, but also could lay an egg. A tough match-up won’t make him a smart start, so I’d look at other options.

Ryan Grant – – Has his moments, but the tough match-up will make him a risky play.

Zach Pascal – – Just too all or nothing to feel good about relying on his services, especially against a good pass defense.

Eric Ebron – – Coming off another big game and even with a tough match-up, he remains a worthy starter as he could give the Jaguars some issues.

Adam Vinatieri – – The offense has been rolling, but definitely could be slowed down against a tough Jaguars defense, which could lead to FG attempts.

Indianapolis Colts – – The defense has been coming on and should benefit from facing a struggling offense that made a move to their back-up QB and will be without their top RB.

Cody Kessler – – Gets the start, but who knows if he can do enough to help your cause. So even with a solid match-up, hard to consider him worth the risk.

Blake Bortles – – Has been benched, so forget about him (Not that he was helping much anyway).

Leonard Fournette – – Suspended for this game due to the major fight he had last week.

Carlos Hyde – – Expected to be option A filling in for the suspended Fournette, though does face a solid Colts run defense. But the Jaguars will likely try to control the clock with the running game due to the QB change, so that should help his cause.

T.J. Yeldon – – Should see some touches, but Hyde is expected to be option A. Though Yeldon’s receiving skills could come in handy.

Donte Moncrief – – Maybe the QB change and the favorable match-up will help, but I’d still prefer to lean on a more proven option.

Dede Westbrook – – Has his moments, but who knows how the QB change will impact his fantasy status. Still too risky to rely on.

D.J. Chark – – Hard to count on the rookie, so even with a good match-up, he is not a guy you should be starting.

Keelan Cole – – The passing game is struggling, but maybe the QB change will help. I’d prefer to just avoid the situation still.

James O’Shaughnessy – – Maybe he will see more use with Kessler under center, but I wouldn’t want to bet on it.

Josh Lambo – – The offense is struggling, so even with a good match-up, hard to feel good about relying on Lambo.

Jacksonville Jaguars – – The defense has weapons, but will have their hands full with the rolling Colts offense. Always capable of making a big play, but definitely a riskier play than usual.
