Seattle
– The Seahawks turned the ball over on an interception inside the Denver 10-yard line on their first possession. They fumbled on a punt and then stalled out on their next drive. Matt Hasselbeck threw another first half interception before getting the ball back only to kneel at the end of a first half that was plagued by turnovers. Rookie Golden Tate set up their first drive with a 63-yard punt return that ended with an 11-yard touchdown pass to Ben Obomanu. They turned the ball over on downs at the Denver 20-yard line before coming back and scoring on a 20-yard touchdown run by Hasselbeck. They went three-and-out and threw their third interception of the day on their last two drives.

Knowshon Moreno ran in a 1-yard touchdown on their second drive of the second half and rookie Demaryius Thomas scored on a 21-yard touchdown pass on the next possession, putting the game out of reach for Seattle.

St Louis
– The Rams missed a field goal on their second possession after stalling out on their first drive. They drove down the field and scored on a 7-yard touchdown pass to Mark Clayton before going three-and-out, stalling out and getting the ball back and running the clock out in the final seconds of the first half. The Raiders defense held St. Louis in check for most of the second half. They threw an interception, had three three-and-outs and a stalled drive before driving down and scoring on a 17-yard touchdown pass to Mark Clayton for his second touchdown of the day.

Bruce Gradkowski went in at quarterback to start the second half and gave the offense the spark they needed. Their first drive resulted in a 41-yard field goal before driving down and scoring on a 4-yard touchdown pass to Louis Murphy. They stalled out before coming back to kick a 22-yard field goal in what would be all the points they would need for the win.

They went three-and-out before missing a field goal and getting the ball back in the final seconds of the first half as they ran out the clock. They kicked a 47-yard field goal to start the second half. Kevin Walter scored on a 6-yard touchdown pass with their next possession. They kicked a 43-yard field goal before going three-and-out. Andre Johnson scored on a 34-yard touchdown pass that tied the game up and forced overtime. They kicked a 35-yard field goal on their second possession in overtime for the win. Matt Schaub threw for a franchise record of 497 yards.

They had an opportunity to kick a field goal that could have put the game away but Houston blocked the field goal. They attempted a 52-yard field goal on their first possession of overtime and made the first attempt but it didn’t count because the Texans called timeout right before the snap. The second attempt went wide right and put the ball back in Houston’s hands for the winning drive.

On their opening drive in the second half they stalled but came right back and scored on a 3-yard touchdown pass to David Thomas. They kicked a 46-yard field goal before consecutive three-and-out drives. San Francisco muffed a punt and the Saints recovered which led to a 19-yard field goal. They kicked a 37-yard field goal with two seconds left to secure the win.

Rookie Anthony Dixon ran in a 2-yard touchdown on their first drive of the second half. They stalled, Smith threw his second interception and they stalled again on the next three drives. On their next possession they kicked a 37-yard field goal before following it up with a 7-yard touchdown run by Gore for his second score of the day. Vernon Davis caught a pass for a two-point conversion to take the lead but they could not hold off the Saints in the final seconds.
