OT Kyle Turley is perhaps best known for his helmet throwing incident when he attempted to protect his quarterback (Aaron Brooks) by ripping the helmet – and some thought the head – off Damien Robinson. Turley was a first round pick by the Saints and had two All Pro seasons before injuries forced him to retire.
Since those tumultuous days, Kyle has been fronting the Kyle Turley Band. An Indie Southern Rock unit that has opened for Alabama, Kansas and Country Legend George Jones.
He toured with Hank Williams III (Hank III) in support of his first album, Anger Management.
Turley has been an outspoken advocate for former players of the NFL and supports GridironGreats.org, a non-stock, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization providing financial grants and ‘pro bono’ medical assistance to retired NFL players in dire need.
