Pick ‘Em Contest Rules

Our Pick ‘Em Contest displays all the scheduled games for the week along with the point spread.

If you pick the favorite, that team must win by more than the point spread. If you pick the underdog, you will win that game if they win outright or if they lose by fewer points than the point spread. There may be instances when a ‘line’ (aka point spread) is not available. In those cases, the point spread will show as 0. In the case of a tie — everyone loses that game. Confused? It’s pretty simple but perhaps an example will help.

Favorite Point Spread Underdog
New England 3 Pittsburgh

If you pick New England and they win 21-17 they have “covered” the 3 point spread since they won by more than 3 points (4). Pittsburgh is “getting” 3 points.  If Pittsburgh wins outright or New England wins by two points or less, Pittsburgh would be the winning selection that week.

Each week everyone’s record will be tallied and published on the site. At the end of the year, the member (Shark Staff excluded!) with the most number of wins after dropping their two worst weeks will be declared the winner.  The winner will be the member with the most wins, not the highest winning percentage.

In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by the most wins for any given week. If a tie still exists, the next highest win total for any given week will determine the winner. This will continue until a winner is decided. If there is still a tie, the contest winnings will be divided as equally as possible among the remaining winners.

Picks must be made one hour before kickoff of the first game of the week. Pay attention to the early games (Thursday night games for example.)  You will be locked out of the contest for that week if you don’t submit your picks before the weekly cutoff.

The prizes

All apparel comes in sizes M – 4XL only and we ship to the US and Canada ONLY.  If you live outside of the US or Canada, you are still eligible for the free memberships, just not the apparel.

Good luck and enjoy the contest!
