Top 5 Pick ‘Em
Season Record: 39-31-5
Los Angeles Rams -6.5 (@ Tennessee) – The Rams have shown that they are not afraid to run up the score and keep their high octane offense in full gear. They can clinch the NFC West with a win and have covered all but one spread while on the road this year.
Dallas -4 (vs. Seattle) – Ezekiel Elliot makes his triumphant return this Sunday against a Seahawks defense that just surrendered 180 total yards and four touchdowns to Todd Gurley. The Cowboys are still alive in the playoff hunt, and knocking off the Seahawks is the first step to playing in January. The Seahawks have only covered two spreads in their last eight games.
Tampa Bay +10 (@ Carolina) – The Panthers control their own destiny and are well positioned to make the playoffs with only two games remaining. They are coming off two very impressive wins against the NFC North leading Vikings and former Packer hopefuls led by Aaron Rodgers. Beware of a hangover game for the Panthers. They will still pull out the win, but division games in the NFC South are always closer than expected.
Detroit -4.5 (@ Cincinnati) – The Lions have two winnable games to close out the season and will need both for a shot to make the playoffs. The Bengals are a mess, Marvin Lewis has all but quit, and Andy Dalton has a 0:4 touchdown to interception ratio over the last two games.
Jacksonville -4.5 (@ San Francisco) – Blake Bortles? Who is this man? “The best quarterback in December” is averaging over 300-yards per game this month and has thrown seven touchdowns without turning the ball over. This is all a bonus! Bortles only needs to manage a game and not throw interceptions. While the 49ers are the sexy team right now, they have barely pulled out wins again three of the league’s worst teams in previous weeks.
Top Survivor Picks
Baltimore (vs. Indianapolis) – The Ravens have a top notch defense that excels when they are at home.
Los Angeles Rams (@ Tennessee) – See above. The Titans will not be able to keep up with the Rams offense.
Carolina (vs. Tampa Bar) – Division games are always risky and the Panthers have a history of playing down to their opponents.
Chicago (vs. Cleveland) – Mitchell Trubisky.
