Top 5 Pick ‘Em
Season Record: 40-35-5
New York Jets +15.5 (@ New England) – The Jets have covered all but one spread in the last nine meetings between these two teams. Sure, they’ve outright won just as many, but this is a huge spread. The Patriots will play conservatively and do just enough to win as they look to enter the playoffs without any more major injuries.
Carolina +4 (@ Atlanta) – The Panthers are still in the running for a first-round bye and they do not plan on sitting any key members in order to coast into the playoffs. They need the Saints and Vikings to lose, but also have the chance to dash the Falcons playoff hopes with a win. Atlanta has been abysmal at covering spreads in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, while the Panthers have covered six spreads on the road this season.
San Francisco -3 (@ Los Angeles Rams) – The Rams have nothing to play for and Sean McVay already said that most of their key starters will get some rest on Sunday. On the other hand, Jimmy Garoppolo and the rejuvenated 49ers are one win away from their first five-game win streak since 2013.
Denver -3.5 (vs. Kansas City) – The Chiefs are another team that have nothing to play for this weekend. While Andy Reid prepares for his early exit from the playoffs, Alex Smith and other starters will have the day off. The Broncos defense isn’t quite what it used to be, but it is still a tough first NFL start for Pat Mahomes.
Washington -3 (@ New York Giants) – The Giants nightmare of a season is almost over. Despite all the injuries the Redskins have suffered this year, they are still a more complete team than what New York is capable of fielding. Kirk Cousins will look to showcase everything he can in what may be his last game in a Redskins jersey.
Top Survivor Pick
Minnesota (vs. Chicago) – The Vikings are looking to secure a first-round bye, with the possibility of having home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
Los Angeles Rams (vs. San Francisco) – See above. The Rams are the most popular pick this week.
