PICK ‘EM and SURVIVOR: Week 2

Top 5 Pick ‘Em

Tampa Bay +6.5 (@ Arizona) – Famous Jameis Winston is getting an even bigger cushion this week with 6.5 points as the Buccaneers travel to Arizona this Sunday. The Cardinals need to bounce back, but they haven’t shown much life thus far, even dating back to the playoffs last year.

Oakland -5 (vs. Atlanta) – The Raiders pulled out a gutsy win last week against the Saints, showing that their offense can keep up with anyone… even if the Saints defense is nothing special. I expect the Falcons to struggle out west while the Raiders build on their momentum.

Detroit -5.5 (vs. Tennessee) – Matt Stafford and the Lions aren’t missing a beat without Calving Johnson. A home opener against a lesser AFC opponent shouldn’t cause any problems.

Jacksonville +3 (@ San Diego) – There is one thing you need to know about this matchup. Jaguars offense vs. Chargers defense.

Philadelphia +3 (@ Chicago) – The most surprising line of the week goes to the Bears being favored. The Eagles defense isn’t quite on the same level as the Vikings, but they specialize in getting to the quarterback. Jay Cutler will struggle.

 Top Survivor Picks

Carolina (vs. San Francisco) – This is the second week in a row I am recommending the most popular pick, very unconventional, I know. Unfortunately, the Panthers don’t have a lot of great survivor matchups the rest of the year. That is what comes with a first place schedule and playing the NFC West, but this is as good as it gets.

Detroit (vs. Tennessee) – See above. Solid pick if you don’t want to follow the heard.

Survivor Avoid

Baltimore (@ Cleveland) – I understand that these are the same old Browns, but the Ravens didn’t exactly light it up last week either. This is a divisional road game to stay away from this week. The Ravens are also the second most popular this week.
