Home / Commentary / PICK’EM & SURVIVOR: Week 14

Top 5 Pick ‘Em

Season record: 33-32

Los Angeles Chargers -14 (vs. Cincinnati) – The Chargers play very well in Los Angeles as they’ve won eight out of their last ten games at home. On the other hand, the Bengals do not travel well against teams with winning records. It looks like the Bengals will be without A.J. Green as well.

Oakland +11 (vs. Pittsburgh) – Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers do not play well in Oakland. The total has gone under in five of the last seven games and the Steelers have only covered the spread in one of those games. James Connor looks to be out with an ankle injury which will slow down the Steelers offense.

Los Angeles Rams -3 (@ Chicago) – The Rams passing game took the day off last week while Todd Gurley carried the load. I don’t believe that any defense can stifle the Rams offense for an entire game and the Bears offense will have trouble keeping pace.

New York Giants -3 (@ Washington) – Mark Sanchez is back in a starting role as the injuries continue to pile up for the Redskins. The Giants have been competitive these past few weeks, especially on the road as they have covered the spread in their last five road games.

Denver -5.5 (@ San Francisco) – This line is about four points too low. The Broncos defense is firing on all cylinders and they are in the thick of the playoff race and after the final wild-card spot. The Broncos have covered all but one spread in their last seven games.

Top Survivor Pick

Los Angeles Chargers (vs. Cincinnati) – See above. This is the last week to use the Chargers

Denver (@ San Francisco) – See above.

Survivor Avoid

New England (@ Miami) – The Patriots have been known to stumble in Miami during the Tom Brady era. Save the Patriots for a home game against the Bills or Jets in the final two weeks of the season.
