PICK’EM & SURVIVOR: Week 15

Top 5 Pick ‘Em

Season record: 35-35

Tampa Bay +9 (at Baltimore) – Nine points is a lot for Baltimore to cover. Tampa Bay is averaging more points scored per game than Baltimore, and while matchups certainly matter, Lamar Jackson and Gus Edwards aren’t among the offensive elite.

Arizona +9 (at Atlanta) – Atlanta hasn’t covered a spread, let alone won, in its last five games. Despite all of the talent on offense, Atlanta still gets in its own way and have trouble scoring points.

Jacksonville -7 (vs. Washington) – Is it Mark Sanchez or Josh Johnson this weekend? It probably doesn’t matter. Washington does not have a quarterback, a running back or wide receivers. To top it off, it looks like Jordan Reed might miss this game as well.

Los Angeles Rams -9 (vs. Philadelphia) – The Rams, and specifically Jared Goff, play much better on offense when they are home, which is welcome after a forgettable Sunday night. Carson Wentz is expected to miss this contest and the Philadelphia secondary is riddled with injuries.

Carolina +7 (vs. New Orleans) – Carolina has been within seven points in all but one of its losses this year. The team’s advantage at home is still real as well, losing just one of its last 11 in Bank of American Stadium.

Los Angeles Rams (vs. Philadelphia) –  See above.

Jacksonville (vs. Washington) – See above.

Survivor Avoid

Atlanta (vs. Arizona) – See above. If you’ve made it this far, you can’t let your streak ride on a team that has lost five straight. Atlanta is by far the most popular pick this week at 28 percent.
