Top 5 Pick ‘Em

Season record: 37-38

Washington +10 (at Tennessee) – Is Tennessee playing better or has it just been playing terrible teams in recent weeks? Either way, Josh Johnson has shown that he can be competent, and 10 points is a nice cushion.

Atlanta +2.5 (at Carolina) – As bad as Atlanta has been in recent years, it still has had success against Carolina. Cam Newton is hurt, and Taylor Heinicke is getting the start this Sunday. The Carolina offense can’t get much worse, and there is no reason to believe that Heinicke will give it a boost.

Los Angeles Chargers -4.5 (vs. Baltimore) – The Chargers have been the most consistent team among the elites this year. The return of Joey Bosa has boosted this defense and it is by far the most complete team in the league.

Chicago -3.5 (at San Francisco) – Chicago is one game behind the Los Angeles Rams and has the tiebreaker if the teams tie with the same record. Khalil Mack is leading the top-ranked defense and even though Chicago is on the road, the San Francisco defense is grading out at 27th overall.

Green Bay +1 (at New York Jets) – Aaron Rodgers said he is playing this weekend and he has never lost three games in December in over a decade. Although Green Bay isn’t the powerhouse of previous years, it can still beat up on teams with losing records.

Top Survivor Pick

Dallas (vs. Tampa Bay) – Even though Dallas was shut out last week, the team plays much better at home.

Cleveland (vs. Cincinnati) – Cincinnati is beat up on both sides of the ball and may be without Joe Mixon this weekend.

Survivor Avoid

Tennessee (vs. Washington) – See above. Tennessee is the second most popular pick this week.
