Season Projections
Witten won't commit to playing past 2017, so this could be last call for the future Hall of Famer. By the way, the 35-year-old Witten is still a fantasy asset. Is that hard to believe? Witten wrapped up 2016 as the fantasy TE14 in standard scoring formats and as the fantasy TE11 in PPR leagues. The seventh-most targeted tight end also finished sixth at the position in receptions and 11th in receiving yards. However, the consistency of Witten's week-to-week production slipped due to the emergence of Cole Beasley. Even when Witten was in his prime, the Cowboys rarely featured him in scoring situations, and that hasn't changed. Big plays are in short supply for the plodding Witten, too. Relying on a still-great set of hands and veteran smarts, Witten operates as an effective and productive safety valve for Dak Prescott. Even though Witten clearly lacks upside, the 15th-year pro is still a solid matchup-play fantasy TE2 to use in a committee with only Beasley and Dez Bryant as the main competition for targets.

Receiving: 66 Receptions, 608 Yards, 3 TD.
