Season Projections
A season-ending broken left (non-throwing) hand limited McCown's 2017 New York Jets debut to 13 contests played, but the journeyman passer still racked up some of the best numbers of his career. McCown entered Week 14 (his broken hand game) ranked 12th in passing yards, 12th in touchdown tosses, first (tie) in quarterback rushing touchdowns and a surprising eighth in fantasy quarterback scoring. The 39-year-old McCown can still lead an offense, but don't expect another strong fantasy showing this season. Although McCown is the favorite to draw the Week 1 start for Gang Green, he'll eventually slide into a backup gig when rookie third overall selection Sam Darnold, New York's highest drafted quarterback since Joe Namath in 1965, is ready to take the controls. McCown, in a starting role, has enough weapons - Robby Anderson, Jermaine Kearse, Quincy Enunwa and Bilal Powell - to produce No. 2 fantasy passer numbers with occasional No. 1 upside in plus matchups. The two things working against McCown are obviously lack of job security and a lack of durability. He has missed 27 games in the last four years due to various ailments.

Passing: 43 Yards, 0 TD, 0 INT.
Rushing: 3 Yards, 0 TD.
