Fantasy Analysis
Week 12 Projections
Brees (ribs, lung) has been placed on injured reserve. He's expected to miss at least two more games. Taysom Hill continues to start in his place.

Season Projections
Devaluing Brees following a troubling number of fluky weak fantasy outings in 2018 was the wrong thing to do because he can still light it up at the ripe old age of 41. This past season, he missed five games due to thumb surgery on his right (throwing) hand and finished as the fantasy QB24. However, from Week 8 through Week 17 (10 starts), a healthy Brees was the fourth-most productive fantasy quarterback. He tossed at least three touchdown passes in seven starts while averaging 277.9 passing yards per game. Projecting Brees' stats from that stretch for 16 contests gives you 4,333 passing yards and 39 touchdown strikes. The future Hall of Famer also has paced the league in completion percentage three seasons in a row to compensate for his fading deep ball. Brees returns for his 20th pro season and his 15th one in head coach Sean Payton's scheme with an upgraded line and a solid supporting cast headlined by the record-setting Michael Thomas, Alvin Kamara, Jared Cook and Emmanuel Sanders. Brees will lose occasional snaps (not enough to matter) to Wild Cat maestro Taysom Hill in an offense that will go run heavy in the right matchups. However, Brees still looks like a nice back-end starting option in what could be his final season in New Orleans.

Passing: 771 Yards, 6 TD, 1 INT.
Rushing: 16 Yards, 1 TD.
