Season Projections
With the Ryan Tannehill (Titans) era over in South Beach, 15th-year journeyman Fitzpatrick is expected to open the season as the Dolphins' starter, but it'll be a surprise if Josh Rosen, the 10th overall selection in the 2018 draft, doesn't make at least a few starts for a rebuilding team that's not expected to win many games. Although Fitzpatrick, an aggressive downfield thrower, turns 37 in November, he can still sling the rock effectively. Fitzpatrick threw for 400-plus yards and at least three touchdowns in three of his seven starts with Tampa Bay this past season. "FitzMagic" also topped the NFL in yards per attempt (9.6) and yards per completion (14.4), and his 6.9 percent touchdown rate ranked third. However, he's prone to streakiness and throwing picks in bunches (his 4.9 interception rate was the NFL's worst), which is why Fitzpatrick flamed out after two seasons with the Bucs and two seasons with the Jets (2015-2016). Former Patriots wideout coach and new Miami offensive boss Chad O'Shea will use New England's offensive scheme, but the Dolphins receiver corps - Kenny Stills, Albert Wilson, DeVante Parker, Jakeem Grant and Mike Gesicki - is one of the league's weakest. Fitzpatrick has backup value only in the deepest of leagues.

Passing: 1164 Yards, 4 TD, 14 INT.
Rushing: 61 Yards, 0 TD.
