Fantasy Analysis
Week 3 Projections
With just a pair of catches in each of his first two games, Cook's debut in a Saints uniform has been a surprisingly quiet one. The Seattle Seahawks have been getting gashed by tight ends, allowing the sixth-most catches, the ninth-most receiving yards and the third-most fantasy points to the position. However, can Teddy Bridgewater, starting in place of the injured Drew Brees (thumb surgery), get the ball to Cook? That's why he's a risky start. Bridgewater also leaned heavily on Michael Thomas while filling in for Brees against the Los Angeles Rams last week.
Receiving: 3 Receptions, 37 Yards, 0 TD.

Season Projections
One of the last men left standing in a Raiders receiver corps that lost Amari Cooper (trade), Martavis Bryant (knee, suspension) and Brandon LaFell (Achilles') by mid-season, Cook topped Oakland with career-best stats across the board this past season. The fifth-best fantasy tight end in most scoring formats ranked fifth at the position in targets, fifth in receptions, fourth in receiving yards and sixth in scoring grabs. Cook pounded out four 100-yard games, including a 180-yard effort, and one two-score game but also compiled dud outings every so often, which is nothing new for him. Still a big-play threat at 32, Cook will provide super-accurate future Hall of Famer Drew Brees with another solid target with a nice catch radius and the ability to win 50/50 balls. Fantasy owners should keep their expectations for Cook in check, however, since the run-minded Saints' passing attack flows through Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara. Throughout Cook's career, he has often been pulled in red-zone situations because of so-so blocking skills, which explains the 11th-year pro's lack of scoring prowess. The Saints probably will do the same thing - Brees needs his protection - but Cook still has a good chance to match his half dozen scoring grabs from 2018 since he'll operate in a high-scoring New Orleans offense.

Receiving: 40 Receptions, 502 Yards, 4 TD.
