Season Projections
This past season, Brate cobbled together his lowest target, reception and receiving yardage numbers since 2015. Why? O.J. Howard had been out-targeting him before going down with a season-ending ankle injury, and Chris Godwin almost doubled his 2017 target load during a sophomore breakout. Most fantasy owners didn't know that Brate toiled through all of 2018 with a bum hip that needed offseason surgery. He was expected to be a full-go for training camp. Brate, however, remained an effective scoring threat. His six touchdown receptions last season ranked fourth (tie) at the position and boosted him to fantasy TE18/non-PPR and fantasy TE19/PPR finishes. One of Jameis Winston's favorite red-zone options, Brate has amassed 20 scoring grabs in the last three seasons, which is the second-highest total (tie) among tight ends. The smaller Brate, often used as an H-back or slot wideout, will continue to operate behind do-it-all Howard as a red-zone specialist, which makes Brate a touchdown-dependent fantasy backup. He's riding a streak of 25 straight contests with fewer than 40 receiving yards. If Howard goes down with yet another injury - he has missed eight games in the last two years due to ankle injuries - Brate's value will spike.

Receiving: 39 Receptions, 389 Yards, 6 TD.
