Strength of Schedule
Strength of Schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the TE position. The easiest rating is 1 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the most difficult rating is 10 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Fantasy Analysis
Week 2 Projections
He operated as a safety valve (9-77-0 on 10 targets) during the Falcons' Week 1 loss to the Minnesota Vikings because Matt Ryan couldn't get the ball to Julio Jones consistently while he battled shadow coverage from Xavier Rhodes. While Ryan should have more success finding Jones downfield against what looks like a still-porous Philadelphia Eagles secondary, Hooper should still remain involved in what projects as a high-scoring Falcons/Eagles Sunday night matchup. Philadelphia allowed a touchdown catch to Vernon Davis (Washington) last week. We won't promise a score for Hooper, but the Eagles looked softer against the tight position than usual.
Receiving: 5 Receptions, 48 Yards, 0 TD.

Season Projections
Thanks in large part to some high-volume throwing by a Falcons offense that couldn't run the football consistently, Hooper rebounded nicely from a mistake-plagued 2017 with a solid third-year breakout (fantasy TE7/non-PPR and fantasy TE6/PPR) this past season. He topped all tight ends with an 81 percent catch rate, and set career highs in targets (tied for seventh most at the position), receptions (fourth), receiving yards (seventh) and touchdown catches (tied for ninth). There are strong reasons, however, to suspect that Hooper is a strong regression candidate in 2019. New Atlanta offensive boss Dirk Koetter's scheme uses the tight end but rarely features it, so Hooper's role won't expand. The Falcons are determined to jumpstart what was a 27th-rated ground game last season with Devonta Freeman returning healthy, and they have vowed to throw less. Hooper also will have fierce competition for targets in a receiver corps that features the elite Julio Jones, second-year leap candidate Calvin Ridley and Mohamed Sanu. What's the skinny on Hooper? He's a no frills possession guy who rarely creates mismatches with his size or speed. That's why he's rarely featured in the red zone and has never scored more than four times in a season. Since Hooper has never been a big scorer, he offers a little more value in PPR leagues.

Receiving: 73 Receptions, 683 Yards, 3 TD.
