Fantasy Analysis
Week 14 Projections
Kirk threw just his fourth INT of the season on Monday night and he performed as a consistent QB1 in the loss. He gets a great matchup at home against the Lions, who were torched by Mitchell Trubisky. That's all you need to know about the Lions defense right now. Fire up Kirk as a QB1 this week and if he is without Dalvin Cook, he may need to do more in the passing game this week.
Passing: 289 Yards, 2 TD, 0 INT.
Rushing: 4 Yards, 0 TD.

Season Projections
Cousins didn't lead the Vikings to the playoffs during his first season in the Twin Cities, but he still manufactured good-as-expected numbers on his way to wrapping up 2018 as the fantasy QB9. Cousins ranked 10th in NFL in passing yards, ninth in touchdown passes (career high), third in completions (career high) and fourth in attempts (tied career high). It was the fourth straight season that Cousins has passed for at least 4,000 yards and 25 touchdowns. His 70.1 completion percentage also was a new personal best and ranked second among full-time starting quarterbacks. Despite Cousins' statistical success, he struggled at times while operating behind a bad line, committing some of his trademark ill-timed turnovers and making occasional bad decisions under pressure. At his best as a play-action passer, Cousins' level of play also declined sharply late in the year while he operated as a drop-back thrower without support from a solid ground game. Although Cousins returns healthy and will have a revamped line and a solid group of playmakers at his disposal - Stefon Diggs, Adam Thielen and Kyle Rudolph - the Vikings triggerman is due for a modest dip in production. Late in 2018, Minnesota quietly transitioned to a run-heavy attack, led by every-down back Dalvin Cook, under now full-time offensive boss Kevin Stefanski. In 13 games played under Stefanski's predecessor, Cousins averaged 40 attempts, 284 passing yards and 1.8 touchdown passes per game. In three contests played under Stefanski, Cousins averaged 27 attempts, 200 passing yards and 2.0 scoring strikes per outing. Cousins is much more effective as a play-action passer, as noted, so a solid ground game should help with his consistency. If often-injured Cook goes down yet again, however, the Vikings would have no choice but to go pass heavy. If that doesn't happen, Cousins won't have much upside to offer other than an occasional blowup game as a matchup-dependent backup.

Passing: 1024 Yards, 9 TD, 2 INT.
Rushing: 21 Yards, 0 TD.
