Season Projections
The second overall selection in the 2015 draft didn't even come close to fulfilling lofty franchise quarterback expectations during his five-year stint with the Titans. Mariota's Tennessee career essentially ended when he was benched following a 2-4 start last season, which cleared the way for Comeback Player of the Year Ryan Tannehill to resurrect his career. Mariota strangely regressed as a passer each season. In his last 19 games, Mariota averaged a soft 190 passing yards per contest, tossed 18 touchdown strikes and took lots of sacks. When he had the green light to run, the Oregon product was effective with his legs, compiling a 242-1,399-11 career rushing line (22.2 rushing yards per game; 5.8 yards per carry). The Raiders made Mariota the highest paid backup quarterback in the NFL, and signing him clearly puts some pressure on Derek Carr to elevate his game. However, expecting Mariota to supplant Carr as the starter seems unrealistic since Carr is the better passer by a decent margin. Granted, he's regarded as a risk-adverse triggerman who rarely attacks downfield, but that's one way to sum up Mariota's career in Tennessee. Mariota could see some action as a Wildcat maestro, but it'll take a Carr injury for the former Titan to pop up on the fantasy radar.

Passing: 135 Yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
Rushing: 11 Yards, 0 TD.
