Strength of Schedule
Strength of Schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the QB position. The easiest rating is 1 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the most difficult rating is 10 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Fantasy Analysis
Week 8 Projections
The stat line from Week 7 doesn't look promising, but his defense did all the work in that contest. Yes, the same could happen with the Jets, but they did look better with Sam Darnold back. Don't overthink it, as Mahomes is the top play per the usual this week.
Passing: 274 Yards, 2 TD, 0 INT.
Rushing: 21 Yards, 0 TD.

Season Projections
Battling nagging injuries most of the season (a dislocated knee cap cost him two games and a sprained ankle also was an issue) and defenses that were better prepared for him, Mahomes came back down to earth statistically following a record-setting 2018 campaign but still clocked out of the 2019 regular season as the fantasy QB6. His touchdown rate percentage dipped from 8.6 to 5.3, which wasn't a surprise. Mahomes also ranked a respectable 10th in passing yards (287.9 per game) and ninth in touchdown passes (1.9 per contest) but just 18th in attempts. When healthy, Mahomes flashed more polish in all phases of his game - he threw deep bombs, side-arm slings and no-look passes with the best of them - while leading Kansas City to a championship and earning Super Bowl LIV Most Valuable Player honors. Entering just his third full season as a starter, Mahomes once again will command a pass-heavy offense with Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, Sammy Watkins, Demarcus Robinson and promising Mecole Hardman all returning. Rookie first-round selection Clyde Edwards-Helaire is an Austin Ekeler (Chargers) clone and another legit pass-catching threat out of the backfield behind Damien Williams. The athletic and very mobile Mahomes averaged eight carries and 45 rushing yards, and scored twice in three 2018-19 postseason outings, so he's always a threat to run. Injuries and/or a massive Super Bowl hangover are the only things that could stop Mahomes from racking up another top-five fantasy season. He's clearly a special player and comes with upside for 5,000 passing yards and 40 touchdown passes as usual.

Passing: 2536 Yards, 20 TD, 3 INT.
Rushing: 188 Yards, 3 TD.
