Fantasy Analysis
Week 3 Projections
The Patriots are on a mission this year where they are going to play teams for a full sixty minutes regardless of the score. Last week against Miami in the final five minutes of a 37-0 game, New England passed the ball down the field so that Brady could tack on another touchdown toss. This week's Jets opposition will not provide much in the way of difficulty. Look for Brady to have another strong fantasy performance.
Passing: 311 Yards, 2 TD, 1 INT.
Rushing: 1 Yards, 0 TD.

Season Projections
He's coming off Super Bowl championship number six, but Brady clocked out of the 2018 regular season as the fantasy QB12, which was his second-worst finish in a full season played during the last decade. Brady flashed subtle signs of a declining skill set with dips in completion percentage and yards per attempt. He also tossed some uncharacteristically bad picks. An undermanned receiver corps also was a problem for him. The Patriots lost Brandin Cooks (Rams) and Josh Gordon (suspended). Chris Hogan (Panthers) disappointed in an expanded role, and a fading Rob Gronkowski (retired) was banged up most of the season. New England compensated for Brady's slight decline and its wideout shortcomings by switching to a conservative run-heavy scheme. While Brady still averaged a solid 272.2 passing yards per contest, he threw for 255 or fewer yards five times and tossed one or fewer touchdown passes in seven games. A huge rebound for him seems unlikely. The Patriots are expected to make an even heavier commitment to the run with rookie third-rounder Damien Harris in the mix, and the team's Gronkowski-less receiver corps still looks absurdly thin with Julian Edelman and James White as the only proven options. Brady's other targets include Dontrelle Inman, rookie first-rounder N'Keal Harry, 38-year-old Ben Watson and Matt LaCosse. Brady turns 42 a month before playing his 20th season. He'll use his football smarts and a scheme tailored to mask his slowing declining skills to hold off Father Time for another year, but Brady clearly isn't an elite option anymore.

Passing: 3954 Yards, 28 TD, 8 INT.
Rushing: 14 Yards, 2 TD.
