Week 14 Projections |
Playing against the Bears is not the curse it was in 2018. In fact, Chicago is likely the easiest defense that the Cowboys have played against over the last three weeks considering the talent of the Patriots and Bills. Even in an embarrassing showing on Thanksgiving, Prescott still went for over 350 yards and 2 touchdowns. As long as Amari Cooper practices this week and is good to go, Prescott will be nothing short of a top-end option. |
Passing: 283 Yards, 2 TD, 1 INT. |
Rushing: 19 Yards, 0 TD. |
Season Projections |
The Cowboys' midseason acquisition of Amari Cooper helped Prescott turn what had been shaping up as a disappointing 2018 fantasy campaign into a solid top-12 effort. With Cooper in the lineup for nine contests, Prescott's passing production improved from 202.4 yards and 1.1 touchdown passes per game to 274.2 yards and 1.6 scoring strikes per contest. Setting new career highs in passing yards, attempts and completions, he closed out the regular season as the fantasy QB11 for the second year in a row. Projecting Prescott's passing stats with Cooper for 16 games yields 4,387 yards and 26 touchdown tosses, which would have boosted Prescott to fantasy QB6. An instinctive red-zone scrambler, Prescott also racked up his usual top-10 rushing numbers at the position, scoring six times and topping the 300-yard mark for the third straight year. Rushing production remains an integral part of his fantasy scoring. While a modest uptick in Prescott's passing numbers is very likely in 2019 with Cooper joining second-year leap candidate Michael Gallup, Randall Cobb, the returning Jason Witten and Ezekiel Elliott (career-high and team-high 77 catches last season) for a full season, keep in mind that the Dallas offense remains an Elliott-centric attack. That's why Prescott has never finished higher than 13th in the NFL in attempts. However, he also has never finished lower than fantasy QB11 and has never missed a regular-season start since he entered the league in 2016. |
Passing: 1121 Yards, 7 TD, 3 INT. |
Rushing: 75 Yards, 1 TD. |
