Fantasy Analysis
Week 7 Projections
Given the opponent and health our expectations were quite low for him going into Week 6 and unfortunately he found himself nailed to the floor. His supporting cast didn't do him any favors, but whether right or wrong the finger always goes back to the quarterback and his performance was indefensible. How will that translate to this week? Well, how injured is he? He carved up this defense Week 2, but a big second half lead limited him to just 23 pass attempts. If he's healthy while his ceiling remains capped we aren't too concerned about the low end in his range of potential outcomes, but monitor practice this week to determine level of comfort with his health.
Passing: 203 Yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
Rushing: 7 Yards, 0 TD.

Season Projections
Mayfield disappointed big time during his highly-anticipated sophomore campaign, finishing 2019 as the fantasy QB18. Surprisingly poor chemistry with an admittedly injured Odell Beckham, however, wasn't the main story. The Browns triggerman struggled with inaccuracy and miscues because of poor protection and constant pressure. Mayfield was the fourth-most blitzed quarterback in the NFL because he played behind a shoddy line that yielded 40 sacks (seventh most), and the pressure contributed to a lousy completion percentage (59.4) and his 21 interceptions. Mayfield still finished 10th at the position in attempts (33.4 per game; career high), 14th in passing yards (238.2 per contest; career high) and 17th in touchdown strikes (1.4 per game). He gets a fresh start with a new coaching staff led by head guy Kevin Stefanski and new offensive boss Alex Van Pelt. They'll utilize a West Coast scheme that relies heavily on play-action passing. Mayfield's supporting cast returns intact: Odell Beckham, Jarvis Landry (hip surgery), David Njoku, Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt. Cleveland also added Austin Hooper and upgraded its line through the draft and free agency. Even though Mayfield has a loaded receiver corps - and the Mayfield-to-Beckham connection should improve - the Browns are expected to utilize a run-heavy approach whenever possible, making big passing performances from Mayfield the exception and not the rule. Playing in a structured offense with a proven coaching staff, the 25-year-old Mayfield is talented enough to bounce back. He won't compile No. 1 fantasy quarterback numbers, but Mayfield, assuming everything goes well for him, should be able to manufacture No. 2 fantasy passer stats with occasional upside.

Passing: 1738 Yards, 15 TD, 14 INT.
Rushing: 70 Yards, 1 TD.
