Season Projections |
The No. 10 overall selection in the 2018 draft deserves a mulligan for his dismal rookie campaign. Rosen was thrown to the wolves during 13 starts in a horrible Cardinals offense (Arizona finished dead last in total offense, scoring, rushing and passing) that featured a very thin collection of playmakers and a terrible line. Ending that ordeal as the fantasy QB33, Rosen finished 29th in the NFL in passing yards, 31st in touchdown passes, 28th in completions and 24th in attempts. He also connected on a dismal 55 percent of his throws. With the Cardinals opting to rebuild with rookie No. 1 overall pick Kyler Murray, Rosen was traded to the Dolphins and will battle Ryan Fitzpatrick for the starting job that once belonged to Ryan Tannehill (Titans). Rosen isn't much of a scrambler, but the pocket passer brings ideal size, nice accuracy (when he has playmakers around him) and good-but-not-great arm strength to the table. Miami's receivers - Kenny Stills, Albert Wilson, DeVante Parker, Jakeem Grant and Mike Gesicki - don't look any better than the group that Rosen left behind in Arizona. Since Fitzpatrick is one of the NFL's streakiest passers, it would be a surprise if Rosen didn't make at least a couple of relief starts over the course of the season. He doesn't offer much upside since Rosen is learning a new offense on a team that's rebuilding and not expected to win many games. |
