Fantasy Analysis
Week 19 Projections
The Rams were able to win despite Jared Goff in the wildcard. They will not be able to do that again in the divisional round. Goff does not have much history playing in cold weather, but the history that he does have is not encouraging. We think the Rams will try and slow this game down while leaning on Cam Akers as much as possible, but regardless of its success they will need at least a few plays (and no mistakes!) from their signal caller.
Passing: 241 Yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
Rushing: 9 Yards, 0 TD.

Season Projections
What had been an absolutely lethal Rams offense in 2018 regressed last season - and so did Goff - under the weight of a leaky offensive line, a struggling ground game and injuries to Brandin Cooks (Texans) and Todd Gurley (Falcons). That didn't stop Goff from topping the NFL in attempts (41.7 per game) and finishing third in passing yards (289.9 per contest), just 50 yards short of his previous career high. With Los Angeles' running game sputtering, its play-action passing attack didn't generate as many big plays, which is one reason why Goff, who isn't at his best as a drop-back passer, threw 10 fewer touchdown passes and slipped from fantasy QB6 to fantasy QB12. Goff also didn't throw a scoring strike in three November matchups, but he tossed 11 of them in five December contests. That month-to-month inconsistency summed up his fantasy ceiling and fantasy floor last season. Unless a member of the Rams' committee backfield steps up, expect Goff to carry the offense with tons of high-volume throwing again. Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp and Josh Reynolds are the returning top targets. Los Angeles used more '12' personnel or two-tight end formations during the second half of 2019 (the extra tight end often helped the offensive line as a blocker), which opened the door for major contributions from Tyler Higbee. Gerald Everett also remains in the mix. The Rams did little to address their offensive line - it's an X-factor - insisting that their young linemen will improve. Goff is too risky to trust as a plug-and-play No. 1 fantasy quarterback right now, but the fifth-year pro looks like a solid No. 2 fantasy triggerman with big upside in the right matchup.
