THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Conference Championships

Welcome my fantasy brethren to another edition of The Prognosticator, may it help you count your stacks. 4-0 last week, two favorites and two underdogs won last week and we had them all. We are down to two before the big game in Minnesota. Will the Vikings be the first team in history to have a Super Bowl at home? Read on to find out!
Passing Rushing
Team Score Team Score
JAX 228 NE 120
NE 228 JAX 116
MIN 220 MIN 110
PHI 182 PHI 98

How to read the table: The table shows how a team will do Passing and Rushing in the upcoming week of the NFL. Red is HOT, Yellow is WARM, White is NORMAL, Light Blue is COLD and Dark Blue is FREEZING COLD. Play players from teams that are Red and Yellow, avoid players from teams that are Light or Dark Blue and expect average days from teams that are White.

All times are Eastern

Jacksonville Jaguars at New England Patriots – Sunday 3:05pm
If you can choose just one game to watch this weekend, make it this one. While both contests will be decidely defensive, this game will be less so. If you are an IDP Maven that lives and breathes defense then you will be pleased with both of these Championship games. The Jaguars are going to be good enough to win this game but their lack of experience and the demands of playing in Gillette will slowly eat away at their psyche. There will not be a lot of fantasy points to be had this weekend but the difference maker for the Patriots will actually be their running game. Rex Burkhead is expected to return and along with Dion Lewis and James White, the Patriots’ ground game is one of the underrated strengths of their team.

Favorite: New England Patriots by 9
Prediction: New England Patriots 31 – Jacksonville Jaguars 27

Minnesota Vikings at Philadelphia Eagles – Sunday 6:40pm
The Eagles defense will hold the Vikings offense down but the primary problem for the Eagles this day will be how strong Minnesota will play on defense. The game will still be a chess match but both defenses will be on full display. If you are looking for a DFS value play at running back, don’t neglect the Minnesota running backs as they both represent good value at their price points. Expect the Eagles to really struggle on offense and because of it, for the Vikings to have the first home field Super Bowl in history against the New England Patriots.
