THE PROGNOSTICATOR: Week 16

Welcome my fantasy brethren to another edition of The Prognosticator, may it bring some hardware home. Good luck to all that are playing in some big games this weekend. Have no fear for those that play in Week 17 games, we’ll all be here next week too and while we run a lighter schedule though the playoffs, we’ll continue to have coverage, projections and all that goes along with that very exciting time of the year.

How to read the table: The table shows how a team will do Passing and Rushing in the upcoming week of the NFL. Red is HOT, Yellow is WARM, White is NORMAL, Light Blue is COLD and Dark Blue is FREEZING COLD. Play players from teams that are Red and Yellow, avoid players from teams that are Light or Dark Blue and expect average days from teams that are White.

All times are Eastern

Washington Redskins at Tennessee Titans – Saturday 4:30pm
Washington is going to struggle in this one; steer clear of the lot of them. Tennessee however has found that their running back of the future was already on their roster as Derrick Henry has rolled the last two weeks. Get him in your lineups this week as he will roll once again. The Titan passing game will be fairly quiet this week so don’t look there for any hidden gems as there won’t be any.

Baltimore Ravens at Los Angeles Chargers – Saturday 8:20pm
There’s an over reaction to Philip Rivers playing Baltimore this week as fantasy players appear to be running for the exits but he’ll be fine this week, don’t sell him or the weapons he has short. For Baltimore, it’s all about Gus Edwards as he puts up a big total here.

New York Giants at Indianapolis Colts – Sunday 1:00pm
The Colts are just the better team and they are at home. There will be some fantasy goodness from Marlon Mack, Andrew Luck and the Colts’ passing game and Saquon Barkley will run well for the Giants but be leery of the N.Y. passing game as it will sputter.

Prediction: Indianapolis Colts 24 – New York Giants 23

Jacksonville Jaguars at Miami Dolphins – Sunday 1:00pm
Not to be put off by the Miami upset call last week that wasn’t! They’re easier to take when they are the favorite. This game will be a tale of two ground games. Usually it would be a big Leonard Fournette game but it is hard to trust the Jaguars to give him any sort of playing time. Frank Gore has been placed on the I.R. but it just means a blend of Kalen Ballage, Kenyan Drake and Brandon Bolden. What it all boils down to is a fantasy wasteland, emptier than Fallout 76.
