Welcome my fantasy brethren to another edition of The Prognosticator, may it collect the cash on the barrel. What a week for injuries in the NFL, particularly at the RB position. Welcome to fantasy my friends, where the injuries mount. It is why it is so important to stay on the waiver wire every week as often, building your bench is more important than building your starting lineup. It is my experience that the Waiver Wire hounds to well at this game as they’re constantly turning over their bench, digging for gold. Stream those kickers, stream those defenses, be a Waiver Wire hound and continually build and rebuild your franchise if you need to. The draft gives you a canvas, now you need to paint the canvas with your trades and waiver pickups so get out there and paint!
Enjoy the week.
How to read the table: The table shows how a team will do Passing and Rushing in the upcoming week of the NFL. Red is HOT, Yellow is WARM, White is NORMAL, Light Blue is COLD and Dark Blue is FREEZING COLD. Play players from teams that are Red and Yellow, avoid players from teams that are Light or Dark Blue and expect average days from teams that are White.
Houston Texans at New England Patriots – Thursday 8:25pm
On paper the Texans should win this. They have advantages in just about every category. With Julian Edelman slated to be the backup quarterback for the Patriots, that should be all you need to know from a Patriots perspective yet.. the Patriots are at home in the house that Kraft built, and that alone gets this done. Fantasy wise you will want to avoid your Patriots as they will spread it around to everyone, but the Texans will focus on their key guys when on offense and there will be “startable fantasy points” that come out of it.

Arizona Cardinals at Buffalo Bills – Sunday 1:00pm
What a lopsided affair this will turn into as the Cardinals put on a clinic in front of the Buffalo home fans. Opening 0-3 after an embarrasing loss at home will not sit well with ownership and quite frankly, nor should it. It doesn’t take a genius to recognize there are problems in the organization in a number of areas and it’s those holes that need to be plugged before the Bills can ever hope to right their ship. Having said that though, LeSean McCoy makes a solid start here as the Bills try and feed the only offensive weapon they have.
Expect big days from your usual cast of Cardinals with a little more than we’ve seen thus far from Michael Floyd sprinkled in.

Cleveland Browns at Miami Dolphins – Sunday 1:00pm
The Browns do have a chance in this if some balls bounce their way. They should be able to control the clock with some good power running from Isaiah Crowell and if they can keep the Dolphins offense off the field because of it, it will help keep the game close where anything can happen in the end. The problem though will be that this one is in Miami against a passing game that has found it’s revival. Some of the mistakes of the past will still be present, and there will be an interception or two from Tannehill but the Dolphins will still find plenty of room to roam and they will make their big plays too.

Denver Broncos at Cincinnati Bengals – Sunday 1:00pm
The only reasons the Bengals can keep this close is because of their defense and they don’t have to play Denver in Denver. The Broncos defense is as good as advertised and they will stifle the Bengals on offense. The Bengals keep it close thanks to some fumble recoveries and an interception or two. The Broncos will want to emphasize their power running game in this so expect a lot from C.J. Anderson even if some drives get halted due to ball security issues.
